The Yorkshire terrier originated in Yorkshire, a region in northern England. In the mid 19th century, workers from Scotland came to Yorkshire in search of work opportunities and brought with them several different varieties of small terriers. Breeding of the Yorkshire terrier was in the purpose of using them as rats-catchers in narrow work areas like cotton and woolen mills.

Ancestors of the Yorkshire Terriers include Maltese, the Scottish Terrier and the Skype Terrier. These breeds were mixed to generate the pedigree Yorkshire Terrier.

I have found some Yorkshire Terrier icons on google, free to download it from here:

Apart from having the cutest looks, their personality is also very adorable. They are curious, affectionate, smart (sometimes cunning), nosy (but they pretend not to be), love to be hugged and they like sleeping a lot. These are what make them so lovely and cute.

They make very good home dogs. They like being cuddled and they require a lot of attentions from their owners. I have seen people who like to bring their yorkies to work with them, as they can be really quiet and won't disturb anybody when trained well.

My New Blog

So here I am just going to start a new blog. And the topic has to be about my four yorkshire terriers. I realize that if I would have to write something about my life. I would have to write about these cuties.

I am going to post photos of them, what they are doing every day of their lives and how their lives have affected my lifestyle. I am also going to write histories about them.

From time to time, I have been learning from them. Their presence has shown me how I should relax and give myself a break once in a while. They can be my inspirations to make me stop doing what I am doing and think about things - how to make life simpler. I think this is what every one should do, just try to live a simpler and happier life. We really shoudn't waste our time on grunting and complaining. Afterall, we don't want to think back after 10 years have passed and regret about not doing enough for ourselves and our loved ones.
